Cat Ba

Point Lobos State Park
Point Lobos is a natural reserve that has hundreds of different species of plants and animals. Several species are found only in this area. For example, California Sea Lions and the elusive gray whale migrate through the park in the winter. Point Lobos is also home to Monterey cypress, a unique tree found only on the Monterey Peninsula. You can also see about 150 different types of birds at Point Lobos.
Birdwatchers will enjoy the Bird Island Trail, which leads from the parking lot. The trail is accessible and goes uphill, passing China Cove, where you can see Harbor seals nursing.
